The American Safety and Health Institute CPR/AED and first aid certification classes are available to individuals who have never been certified or whose certification has expired.  Classes offered throughout the year.  Click here for upcoming trainings.

Health, Well-being & Fitness

Wellness Center & Program Orientation

Y staff will demonstrate proper use of the cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, orientate you  to the free weight room and/or group exercise classes.  Contact the Welcome Center to schedule your orientation.

Polar BodyAge Fitness Assessments


A fitness assessment that compares your chronological age to your BodyAge.  It will tell you where you are today and your obtainable BodyAge.  Your Wellness Coach will work with you to develop a program to build a healthier your.  Y Members Only. Contact the Welcome Center to schedule your appointment.

Ready 2 Be Fit Program

MEMBER ONLY benefit offered FREE with your Y membership.  One size does not fit all! Individualized fitness training is just one component of this program.  We include spirit, mind and body components in the program and it is designed for the beginner exerciser.  Contact the Welcome Center to schedule your appointment.

Group Fitness Classes

There is something for every “body” at the Y. From cardio to resistance training to mind/body classes are available to meet every interest and level: Pilates, Strength & Tone Classes, Y Pump, Kick Boxing, Low Impact, Core on Command, Boot Camp, Trekking, Trek-Cycle, Boxing, Lunch Crunch, Turbokick,  PiYo, Yoga, Hard “Core” Trek and SilverSneakers. Schedule available at the Welcome Center or go to the schedules tab of the web site. Registration not required.

Boxing

Action packed total body conditioning cardio training with constantly changing routines creates a unique energy that will appeal to all types of athletes.  With high intensity drills designed to enhance agility, speed, balance, coordination and strength, building moves of boxing incorporating a broad range of punches and athletic drills.  Most suitable for high fitness levels.

Chisel Circuit/Cardio Circuit

Low impact full body workout utilizing a variety of equipment including balls, bands, hand weights and more.  This 3 segment class focuses on legs, upper body and core training with sculpting and stretching at a safe easy to follow pace.  All fitness levels welcome.

Muscular Strength

This class is designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills.  Hand weights, bands with handles and a ball are are offered for resistance with a chair for seated and/or standing support.  Great for beginner exerciser and older adults.

Pilates With A Punch

Not your average Pilates Class!  Kick it up a notch with a new focus on Shelly’s traditional Pilates core training by adding higher intensity components of band usage, strength training and ball exercises!  Al fitness levels welcome!

Trekking

A 30 minute high energy instructor lead treadmill class that focuses on intervals of speed, incline and endurance drills guanranteed to boost your cardiovascular fitness.  You can power walk, jog or run your way to better techniques, uses of inclines to maximize caloric expenditure and achieve better results in less time.  It is virtually impossible to get bored during trekking class.  All fitness levels welcome.  Due to equipment limitations, reservations are required for this class.

Turbokick

Burn calories and blast fat with this mix of kick boxing and simple dance moves with motivational instruction and music!  Each full body workout consists of a sport specific warm-up, higher paced intervals, easy to follow combinations, kick boxing specific strength/endurance training and a mind/body like cool down designed to maximize weight loss.  This unique workout combines techniques to give you the ultimate cardio workout that will melt fat and reshape your body.

Y Cycle

Immerse yourself on a ride including flat roads, hills, rolling hills and sprints lead by certified instructors with motivating music!  Bring your ride inside and challenge your body, ind and spirit.

Yoga

A gentle approach blending various styles of yoga to improve flexibility, strength and breathing techniques.  This class is open to all fitness levels.

Y Pump

The ultimate body shaping, calorie burning strength training class that works every major muscle group!  Using cold steel barbells and hot music you will reshape your body-fast!

Y Suspension Training (YST)

Born in the Navy SEALS, Suspension Training bodyweight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously.  It requires the use of suspension straps, a performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to enable hundreds of exercises for every fitness goal.  Get a fast, effective and total body workout that benefits people of ALL fitness levels.

The SilverSneaker Fitness Program

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills.
