Wellness Center & Program Orientation

Y staff will demonstrate proper use of the cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, orientate you  to the free weight room and/or group exercise classes.  Contact the Membership Desk to schedule your orientation.

Personal Training

This YMCA program is designed to match you with a Personal Trainer who will develop a wellness routine to help you stay motivated and provide you with a workout designed for you to meet your personal wellness goals.  Click here>> for more information.

Polar BodyAge Fitness Assessments


A fitness assessment that compares your chronological age to your BodyAge.  It will tell you where you are today and your obtainable BodyAge.  Your Wellness Coach will work with you to develop a program to build a healthier your.  Y Members Only. Contact the Membership Desk to schedule your appointment.

Group Fitness Classes

There is something for every “body” at the Y. From cardio to resistance training to mind/body classes are available to meet every interest and level: Water Fitness, Yoga, Pilates, Strength & Tone Classes, Y Pump, Kick Boxing, Step, Low Impact, SilverSneakers, and Zumba. Schedule available at the Membership Desk or go to the schedules tab of the web site. Registration not required.

Y Pump

The ultimate body shaping, calorie burning strength training class that works every major muscle group! Using cold steel barbells and hot music you will reshape your body – FAST!

Boot Camp

High-energy drills combining strength and cardio stations designed for all fitness levels.

Kettle Bell

Intervals of strength and cardio training using the kettlebell.

Senior Circuit Cardio

A mix of strength and cardio moves designed to get your heart pumping and muscles moving and stretching.

Senior Circuit Strength

This class is designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Hand weights, bands with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance with a chair for seated and/or standing support. Great for the beginner exerciser and older adults.

Cardio Drill

 

No frills class designed to keep your body pumped and energy level soaring.

Tabata

A high energy class that has a circuit training format providing intervals of high repetition and short recovery breaks. This class uses a variety of equipment such as hand weights, body bars, stability balls, kettle balls, steps, jump ropes and more. All muscle groups are incorporated with a cardio twist. It’s never the same class twice!

Core on Command

Strengthen your abs, oblique & back muscles while building core stability with a series of crunches. Modifications are given for the novice exerciser and to address back issues making this 45minute class beneficial for all!

Chair Yoga

A gentle approach blending various styles of yoga while seated to improve flexibility, strength and breathing techniques. The only requirement is to show up, do your best and let your best be good enough.

Beginner’s Yoga

 

This system develops strength, stamina and flexibility.

Kid’s Self Defense

 

A GREAT class for kids to learn the basics of Gung-Fu martial arts, w hile building self-confidence.

Adult Self Defense

A GREAT class for adults to learn the basics of Gung-Fu martial arts.

The SilverSneaker Fitness Program

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance and a chair is used for seated and /or standing support.  Your SilverSneakers membership is offered to you at little or no cost through your health plan.  Learn more at www.silversneakers.com.

Adult Co-Ed 6′s Competitive – Monday Nights – Begining September 12th,  2011

An exciting and competitive league that will give your team a challenge! This program is offered three times a year for men and women ages 18 and older.  The league fee is $330/team, Fall 2011 season consists of 12 weeks plus playoffs (all teams). Championship team gets t-shirts.

Adult Co-Ed 6′s REC – Tuesday Nights – Beginning September 13th, 2011

An exciting league for adults looking to enjoy some time with their friends in a non-competitive environment. Great for players looking to learn the game of volleyball or “polish” up their skills. This program is for men and women 18 years and older. The league fee is $330/team, Fall 2011 season consists of 12 weeks plus playoffs (all teams make playoffs). Championship team gets t-shirts.

Adult Co-Ed Power 4′s – Thursday Nights - CANCELLED.

The power division is for advanced/skilled players. 4 vs. 4 league must have a minimum of one player of the opposite sex on the court at all times. No more than three males. Fall 2011 Session is a 12 week league plus playoffs (all teams). The league fee is $330. Championship team gets t-shirts.
