Your donation to the YMCA of Greater Erie, no matter what size, creates change.

A child’s success, a family’s strength and a healthier community – these are the types of change that have long been associated with the YMCA’s mission. These examples also reflect our ongoing promise that no one will be denied membership or program participation because of inability to pay.

In the Erie region, many people who could benefit most from the YMCA’s sense of community and Christian values are the very ones unable to afford a YMCA membership. Our We Build People scholarships will provide more than $400,000 in assistance to some 4,000 children, teens, families and adults through memberships and services that can have a lifelong impact on their spirit, mind and body.

$10 – A Healthy Kids’ Day event for two children

$35 – YMCA SPLASH swim program for one child

$50 – A week of before and afterschool activities for one child

$100 – Sport league fees for two children

$250 – Instructional swim lessons for five children

$700 – Membership to the YMCA for an entire family for one year

$1,000 – Y-Metro Teen Center programs for one young person
