YMCA of Greater Erie

spray & play 1Just in time for summer, YMCA Camp Sherwin‘s Spray & Play Park is now open!  The 30×50 water play park features buckets, hoses, umbrellas and more – all adding to the water adventure at the Y’s outdoor recreation center, Camp Sherwin!

The Spray & Play Park is perfect for those with differing abilities and experiences in and around water.  Aquatic playgrounds are safe for toddlers, for elderly, autistic/special needs children and those who are mobility challenged and are safer than swimming pools and traditional playgrounds.

The area itself promotes movement and aquatic interaction in a fun and safe manner.  It is a great way to get out of the heat, yet can also be utilized on cooler days, where the swimming pool may not be warm enough to use.  It offers water fun to those who would not benefit from a traditional pool.

Like all of Camp’s attractions, admission to the Spray & Play Park is included in your Y membership.

You can purchase a Camp Sherwin day pass for $6/individual or $18/family and have access to all of Camp’s attractions, including picnic areas,  and activities.  Groups of 10 or more are welcome on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  Call for hours and pricing options.

Spray & Play 2Our thanks to our Spray & Play Park contributors: YMCA of Greater Erie Endowment, Erie Community Foundation/Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority and the Mengle Foundation.
