The YMCA’s story has been marked by the service of our volunteers. From summer camp and childcare to active older adults and youth sports to board work and summer foods, volunteers are involved in every aspect of the YMCA.
With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, Y volunteers give men, women and children of all ages and from all walks of life the resources and support they need to be healthy, confident, connected and secure. We would never have been able to accomplish this without the dedication of our volunteers.
In celebration of National Volunteer Appreciation Week, the YMCA would like to take this opportunity to thank our volunteers. We had more than 900 volunteers who donated more than 26,000 hours in 2014. With the time and talents of those volunteers, we were able to mentor kids, strengthen families and give back to our neighbors. Thank you YMCA Volunteers. We couldn’t have done it without you!
