Being healthy and fit is the ultimate goal for most people. But something a lot of people do not realize is that mindfulness is just as important as physical exercise. Mindfulness is the practice of becoming aware of one’s self and the surrounds. It allows for self awareness and to live in the present.
How do you practice mindfulness? We can all practice mindfulness in almost everything we do. Mindfulness asks us to essentially take our bodies and minds off cruise control and become more in charge of what we are doing daily.
Exercises that help us practice mindfulness are yoga, meditation, breathing exercises and even when we sleep.
