Camping With Care

These challenging times have reminded us all what really matters most: spending time with the people we care about.

As we open YMCA Camp Sherwin on Friday, May 22 for the Memorial Day Weekend, trust us to ensure the health and safety of all people.

We’re following guidelines from health experts and local officials to ensure that our facilities meet the highest standards for hygiene and safety, and we have modified our policies to facilitate safe social distancing practices.

For the health and safety of all people, certain amenities at Camp Sherwin are temporarily closed. These amenities will reopen when we are advised by local and state officials that it is safe to do so.

Thank you for doing your part to help us maintain a healthy environment for all. All campers:

  • Must have a face-covering
  • Must complete and sign a COVID-19 waiver
  • Must alert Camp Director if anyone on the premises has been in contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19
  • Must self-monitor prior to arrival; do not come to Camp if you are ill
  • Must permit only registered campers at your camp site; no guests at this time
  • Must practice social distancing while at Camp including camp fires.

Please use this resource from the Erie County Department of Health for more information about Coronavirus symptoms and prevention.
