YMCA of Greater Erie

Exclusive Savings on YMCA Childcare Programs

When you join the YMCA of Greater Erie, you enjoy exclusive savings on YMCA early learning, preschool and after school programs that can be as much as $500/year!  While we have a membership program to fit every budget, we find families really take advantage of our Buddy For Fitness membership program.  When you join as the buddy of an existing member, or you  recruit someone new to join with you, you BOTH enjoy an exclusive 20% membership savings for as long as you both are members of the Y. And, yes, we’ve done the math – it’s a monthly savings of $15.81 or $189.72/year.

Fostering spirit, mind and body

Toddler BinocularsThe YMCA’s Early Care and Education Program provides a safe and nurturing environment for our youngest members to play, learn and grow. Our well-trained educators provide infants and toddlers with the consistent, positive attention they need so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Early Care for Infants and Toddlers

Ages 6 weeks -2 years

Our experienced staff is knowledgeable about key developmental stages and keenly aware that each child reaches these stages differently. Using the Creative Curriculum, we help to guide each child’s growth on an individual basis. As they build new skills and learn how to interact with others, we enjoy watching them develop their own sense of identity and self-esteem.

Early Head Start

The Early Head Start- Child Care Partnership programs brings together the best of two worlds by combining the strengths of child care and Early Head Start.  Early Head Start is a researched based program that emphasizes the importance of responsive and caring relationships with both caregivers and parents to support the growth and development of toddlers and infants.  The partnership provides comprehensive services and resources (health, nutrition, mental health, disabilities, education and social services) into the traditional childcare setting.  A family advocate meets periodically or as needed with each family at a time and location that is most convenient for the family. Financial Assistance

We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Like all Y programs, our Early Care and School Age Programs are open to all. The YMCA accepts Childcare Information Services (CCIS) payments, and financial assistance is available to those who qualify.
