YMCA of Greater Erie

Early Care for Infants and Toddlers

Ages 6 weeks -2 years

Our experienced staff is knowledgeable about key developmental stages and keenly aware that each child reaches these stages differently. Using the Creative Curriculum®, we help to guide each child’s growth on an individual basis. As they build new skills and learn how to interact with others, we enjoy watching them develop their own sense of identity and self-esteem.

All YMCA program locations are participants in the Keystone STARS Accreditation Program and are rated either a STAR 3 or 4.

Early Head Start

The Early Head Start- Child Care Partnership program brings together the best of two worlds by combining the strengths of child care and Early Head Start.  Early Head Start is a researched based program that emphasizes the importance of responsive and caring relationships with both caregivers and parents to support the growth and development of toddlers and infants.  The partnership provides comprehensive services and resources (health, nutrition, mental health, disabilities, education and social services) into the traditional childcare setting.  A family advocate meets periodically or as needed with each family at a time and location that is most convenient for the family. Financial Assistance

We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Like all Y programs, our Early Care and School Age Programs are open to all. The YMCA accepts Early Learning Resource Center (formerly CCIS) payments, and financial assistance is available to those who qualify.
