Togetherhood Project

Togetherhood is a volunteer program that helps YOUR community!

This month we have rallied all the Glenwood Park Family Y members to donate items for Sunday Supper – which is a dinner program for the homeless in Erie County that serves a warm meal on Sundays.  On Sunday, January 13th the volunteers plan on having a formal sit down dinner feeding over 150 people in the area.  A HUGE thank you to our awesome members because of you each person who comes through our food line on this day is able to take home a bag with items that include; warm socks, an apple sauce container with spoon and a granola bar.  These three items might not seem a whole lot, but it can give ease to those that are unsure of when there next meal may come from.

Along with the day of support of volunteers to help make the dinner line run fast and smooth for the large crowd of people we plan on attending, we have asked members to donate cans of green beans, jars of apple sauce and dessert items for the event.

Thank you to all those that have already been a huge support in the process and continue to support the community through every event we offer at the Y!
