An abundance of research links neighborhood conditions to health including socialization, physical activity, safety, access to food, employment and more.

Glenwood is one of two “middle” neighborhoods defined as healthy enough not to need emergency intervention, but not so healthy that it does not need support to improve home values and create a sense of place to ensure more young professionals with families move into the neighborhood.

Working alongside residents and community partners, we’ll work to improve neighborhood conditions and create a sense of pride and space.

With your gift to the YMCA of Greater Erie, we’ll fund neighborhood improvements such as lighting, pedestrian pathways and Glenwood Park enhancements.

All people deserve safe and healthy neighborhoods. And, your gift to the Y will help define this region of Glenwood as a destination for quality of life, livability and recreational amenities.
