Lifeguard class begins February 12
JUST TRI IT is a 12 week training program to inspire people to get healthy and fit. This program is open to all levels (novice to advanced) and provides participants the opportunity to train for a triathlon in a fun, challenging and non-intimidating environment.
Program Includes: Training Schedule, Saturday Training Class (7am-8am) and monthly seminars on nutrition, injury prevention and triathlon fundamentals.

For many people, the transition to survivorship serves as strong motivation to make positive lifestyle change. Although cultivating healthy habits is a good idea for anyone, it is survivors are often at higher risk for developing other health problems as a result of their cancer treatment. Healthy behaviors can help survivors regain or build strength, reduce the severity of side effects, reduce the risk of developing secondary cancers or other health issues, and enjoy life more.
The journey at the Regional Cancer Center incorporates a focus on mind-body-spirit well-being from the day you walk through the doors. They are committed to integrating wellness components into your care and treatment. They want you to feel empowered and to regain a sense of control over your cancer.
Research shows that by integrating physical activity, proper nutrition and mind-body-spirit awareness, you can feel better and reduce the side effects of cancer treatment such as nausea, depression, anxiety, fatigue and weight gain.
In keeping with RCC’s mission of providing comprehensive care with a commitment to optimal quality of life for patients and families, RCC has partnered with the Glenwood Park Y to offer supportive, holistic classes in a nurturing and spacious environment.
The classes will be taught by expert fitness professionals and will be offered to cancer survivors and caregivers only, completely free of charge.

Tired of the indoor workout routine? Then take your workout outside and get some fresh air with our 8 week outdoor bootcamp. Bootcamp is offered twice a week with two sessions available, morning and evening. Cost is $35 members; $75 non-members. Registration is required. For more information click here
