Arts & Crafts

Our Arts & Crafts programs provide a welcoming, creative space where participants can explore a variety of artistic mediums while building confidence, imagination, and self-expression. Through hands-on projects and guided instruction, participants will have opportunities to create, experiment, and learn new skills at their own pace. Offerings may include painting, drawing, mixed media, crafting, and seasonal or themed projects, with activities designed to be age-appropriate and engaging. Whether trying something new or developing existing skills, participants will enjoy a supportive environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and fun.


3D Art Workshop

Create something bright, cheerful, and full of dimension in our 3D  Art workshop. In this hands-on session, participants will assemble a vibrant summer-themed scene using precision-cut, colored cardstock, building depth and detail one layer at a time. The bold colors and layered design bring the artwork to life with a playful, eye-catching effect.
All materials are provided, including pre-cut colored cardstock pieces and assembly supplies. This project is especially family-friendly and accessible for a wide range of skill levels, with a fun, relaxed process that encourages creativity and hands-on participation. Whether you’re crafting together or exploring on your own, you’ll leave with a lively, handcrafted piece perfect for display.
We highly recommend children under the age of 8 be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Get hooked on creativity! In this fun and relaxed 4-week clinic, kids and adults will learn the basics of crochet—from how to hold a hook to stitching simple patterns. Whether they’re brand new or just need a refresher, participants will build confidence, patience, and creative skills while working on their own mini projects. Game of Shrooms Art Event

Get ready for a whimsical, hands-on art experience!
This June, the YMCA is celebrating the international Game of Shrooms art event. On that day, artists from all over the world hide their original mushroom-themed art works in public places then they give hints (often on social media) for others to find AND KEEP! Families and kids of all ages are invited get creative, and make a mushroom-themed craft inspired by this playful, global art happening.
Participants will meet in the Fireside Lounge have the chance to create fun fungal art and a special keepsake to take home if they wish—perfect for remembering a day of creativity and imagination. All good things need time to grow (like mushrooms!) so we recommend arriving at the beginning of the workshop to allow plenty of time to finish your art.
