Glenwood Park
6/13/26 - 6/13/26
VIEW
Get ready for a whimsical, hands-on art experience!
This June, the YMCA is celebrating the international Game of Shrooms art event. On that day, artists from all over the world hide their original mushroom-themed art works in public places then they give hints (often on social media) for others to find AND KEEP! Families and kids of all ages are invited get creative, and make a mushroom-themed craft inspired by this playful, global art happening.
Participants will meet in the Fireside Lounge have the chance to create fun fungal art and a special keepsake to take home if they wish—perfect for remembering a day of creativity and imagination. All good things need time to grow (like mushrooms!) so we recommend arriving at the beginning of the workshop to allow plenty of time to finish your art.
Below is the link to the official Game of Shrooms website, where you can explore the event map and learn more about how artists and communities around the world are joining in on the fun. Whether you’re already a fan of the event or discovering it for the first time, this is a great way to connect, create, and celebrate art together.
