Our Active Older Adult Programming promotes successful aging by providing an engaging atmosphere encompassing mind, body, and spirit. By creating a space full of celebration and friends, this programming combats isolation, promotes community, and encourages life-long learning.

If you’re 55+ and you’d like input on our AOA events, speakers, and activities in your branch and at the YMCA of Greater Erie as a whole, please join our AOA board. It won’t take much of your time – a 45-minute quarterly get-together at your Y location, and some optional email surveys. Let your voice be heard!

Find What Fills Your Cup

When we can find a connection with others, we are strengthening our minds and spirits. Gather with us on Tuesdays. We invite you to bring and share your favorite tea and or treat. We’ll share an inspirational message.

Join us on the third Wednesday of the month at 1pm in the GE Room. Chairs set up and movie provided. You may bring a camp chair, blanket, snack, and/or drink if you wish.

Cost is $2. Movie TBA

It’s not Christmas season until the Philharmonic has their Come Home For The Holidays concert! Join your friends at the Y, and get dropped off and picked up right at the door of the Warner Theater.

Already have your ticket? You can sign up to ride the bus with us if you’d like.

We can not promise particular seats, only seat groups. If a substitution must be made, you will be refunded the difference. Registration will open when final pricing has been determined. At this time, seat cost for members ranges from $30 to $65; for non-members, $35 to $70. Choose rate plan A, B, C, or D to correspond with Warner seating charts.

Tickets purchased after November 18 may not be seated with the group.

Join our afternoon Active Older Adult group the first Monday of the month for some food and fellowship in the Lobby.

Let’s lace up your sneakers and hit the trails together. Walkers of all fitness levels welcome!

We’ll be walking indoors in inclement weather, and outside the Y when weather permits. Those who join will receive notification about Saturday morning walks around the area, and team walks like Highmark Walk For A Healthy Community. Non-members are welcome (registration with photo ID required), except for water walking.
