Cheerleading
Cheerleading
Cheerleading is a fun, energetic activity that combines athletic skills, teamwork, and confidence-building in a positive and supportive environment. Our cheer program offers an introductory foundation for cheerleading while encouraging personal growth and team spirit.
Participants will have opportunities to:
Learn basic cheer motions, jumps, and simple choreography
Practice sideline chants and cheers used to support teams during a variety of sports such as basketball, football, and other athletic events
Understand the role of cheerleaders in motivating players, engaging the crowd, and promoting positive sportsmanship
Explore pom routines and age-appropriate dance elements
Build strength, coordination, flexibility, and rhythm
Develop important life skills such as confidence, teamwork, leadership, and communication
This program focuses on fundamental skills and technique that can be used as a stepping stone into many different types of cheerleading programs, including school cheer, recreational cheer, or competitive cheer. Athletes will gain a strong base that can help them feel prepared and confident as they continue their cheer journey.
As part of a cheer team, participants will work together to learn routines, perform organized cheers, and support their teams from the sidelines in a fun and respectful way. No prior cheer experience is required—just a willingness to learn, try new skills, and have fun!
