Lifeguards/Aquatic Instruction

The Y is seeking certified lifeguards to fill daytime and evening hours.  If you have additional aquatic experience, you may consider applying for open aquatic instruction for youth and adults. Immediate Opening: Assistant Group Supervisor – School-Age Enrichment Program at Summit United Methodist Church

The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking for an Assistant Group Supervisor for the School-Age Enrichment Program at Summit United Methodist Church.  Our afternoon schedule gives children support with daily homework, supports literacy and math skill development and provides recreational activities.  Assistant Group Supervisors are required to work in partnership with teachers to create and execute lesson plans that meet the needs of individual students.  Compliance with DPW regulations and Keystone Stars standards is mandatory.  Requirements: minimum of 2 years (2500 hours) of experience with children; strong teamwork and communication skills; initiative, problem-solving and time management skills, CDA or degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education preferred.  Email cochalek@ymcaerie.org with resume.
