The YMCA is a membership organization open to all people. The YMCA welcomes women and men, girls and boys of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, abilities and financial circumstances. Programs and branches embrace diversity, reflecting the needs and composition of the communities they serve.

The YMCA of Greater Erie wants to help you and your family afford the wonderful programs that we offer.  The rate structure bases your membership fee on your annual household income.  Rates can be attained for all the Erie YMCAs or just your local branch.

Membership Options

Metro Membership

A Metro membership allows unlimited use of 5 different membership facilities, including access to the fabulous YMCA Camp Sherwin located in Lake City, Pa. Your membership includes all health and wellness programs (except swimming lessons). You can visit as often as you like, take classes, use the facilities and equipment, and pay one low monthly fee.

Branch Only Membership

A branch membership offers unlimited access to a specific branch of your choosing.  Your membership includes all health and wellness programs (except swimming lessons). You can visit as often as you like, take classes, use the facilities and equipment, and pay one low monthly fee.

Corporate Membership

The YMCA believes that healthy employees help make a company healthy and successful. We offer a reduced membership rate when six or more employees from the same company become members.

Whichever membership option you choose, our payment plans make joining easy and affordable: EFT (electronic funds transfer from a checking or savings account), VISA, MasterCard, Discover credit card or annual payment.
