When you join the YMCA of Greater Erie, you enjoy exclusive savings on YMCA early learning, preschool and after school programs that can be as much as $500/year! While we have a membership program to fit every budget, we find families really take advantage of our Buddy For Fitness membership program. When you join as the buddy of an existing member, or you recruit someone new to join with you, you BOTH enjoy an exclusive 20% membership savings for as long as you both are members of the Y. And, yes, we’ve done the math – it’s a monthly savings of $15.81 or $189.72/year.

Y Preschool builds on a child’s natural desire to learn things and become more self-reliant. Getting along with other children, sharing, taking turns and working in a group are all natural parts of learning. Y Preschool is also a safe, fun and comfortable place where children build positive relationships with caring adults. Creative Curriculum is an exciting and challenging program that helps preschoolers stretch their skills in mind and body.
The Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program makes quality pre-kindergarten programs available to Pennsylvania residents at no cost to qualifying families. It is funded through a grant from the State of Pennsylvania. Full day program instructional time is 3 hours. The Y offers a number of Pre-K Counts classrooms throughout the service area. A Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts application must be filled out completely and submitted for consideration. Call Jeannine Bello at 814-452-1432 ext. 245.
A caring and friendly place for your child to learn and grow! Children develop a readiness for kindergarten through a variety of hands-on, child-centered activities. The class is led by a certified teacher using the Letter People and Creative Curriculum. This curriculum program is open to children one year prior to kindergarten enrollment.
We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Like all Y programs, our Early Care and School Age Programs are open to all. The YMCA accepts Childcare Information Services (CCIS) payments, and financial assistance is available to those who qualify.
